Questions or Suggestions?
Email me (Ms. DeGroat) @ wdegroat (at) gsgis.k12.va.us with your suggestion. Please include your name, grade level, and 1st block teacher’s name. I’m passionate about continually improving the programs and services the MW Library provides and appreciate your feedback.
Because the MW Library has only a one-person library staff, I’m unable to provide virtual reference service via email, chat, or IM. Instead, my focus is on face-to-face research coaching (for classes, groups, and individuals); curating quality resources; and nurturing students’ intellectual curiosity, creativity, and love of reading.
If you have a question and you’re at school, please move away for the keyboard and walk down to the library. If you’re at home, you may email me your question or a request to schedule a research consultation (best scheduled at least one week before your assignment is due, preferably sooner). For consultation requests, include the following:
- Assignment description and due date
- A sentence or two describing what you’d like to discuss in the consultation. This could be how to get started or how to overcome a roadblock you’re encountering in your research
- When you are available to meet (e.g. study hall, lunch, before or after school)
- A link to the work you’ve done so far in your MW Google Drive or O365 account (alternatively, you may attach your current draft as a Word or PDF document)
During school hours, I check my school email often and will respond as soon as possible, but sometimes it may take a day or two for me to get back to you. As noted above, please include your name, grade level, and 1st block teacher’s name.
