Enrollment opens Tuesday, Jan. 21st for Global Citizens Online, a voluntary pilot program designed to enhance your ability to put your best foot forward digitally by exploring how to do so in ways that are authentic, aware, and strategic.
Instead of taking a prescriptive, rule-focused approach to internet behavior, this program will center on making choices that are the best fit for you (and o.k. with your folks). Enrollment in this pilot is limited to 30 students.
Activities will happen on itslearning over nine weeks (Jan. 31 to April 3), most of them asynchronously. Time commitment = no more than one hour per week.
Each week, a dinner table topic will be published in Smoke & Scales to invite families to explore related concepts together.
Students who complete the program will be awarded certificates at a pizza party (and, potentially, would have one more MW teacher who could write a recommendation letter for them). The ideal group would include students from a variety of grades and with varying degrees of tech savvy.
