Start a GDocs Paper from Noodle Tools

04 Sep

Every wondered what happens in Noodle Tools if you click Start Paper in Google Docs (below the Works Cited link)?

This feature links to a sign-in screen for MW Google Docs (remember to include the last two digits of your graduation year before your first initial).

Google Docs automatically creates a document with the same title you’ve given your project in Noodle Tools.

On your My Drive title list, your Noodle Tools user name appears after the document title.

Later, when you log back in to Noodle Tools, the options for that project will have updated to Open paper.

At this time, there is only an option to start a paper – not a spreadsheet or presentation. If this changes, I’ll let you know.

In the meantime, happy researching!

To save these instructions for later reference, download the PDF: Starting a Google Doc from Noodle Tools.
