tip for searching History in Dispute online

History in Dispute is a great resource for tuning in to what a historical argument sounds like.  All 21 print volumes are in the library’s reference section, but you can also search it online by going to World History in Context or U.S. History in Context, opening Advanced Search, and then limiting your search to publications with the word dispute in the title.

When you do this, keep in mind that some essays from History in Dispute are in U.S. History in Context and others are in World History in Context.  For the most comprehensive results, click the button to search BOTH World and U.S (see example below) before you press enter or click SEARCH.
