The cure for citation confusion

18 Sep

Does trying to remember the nuances of MLA, APA, and Chicago documentation styles make your head ache?  Noodle Tools to the rescue!  The MW Library subscribes to this service that creates and stores your citations online for you – in whichever style you choose – and when you’re finished, exports them to Word with all the proper formatting intact.  That’s right, no more cutting and pasting and then wrestling against Word auto-formatting to get all the indents and spacing right.  Yesterday one senior remarked, “it must have saved me 10 hours on my Stats paper!”  Was she exaggerating?  Perhaps – Dragons are prone to hyperbole after all.  But even if it saved her half that time, isn’t there something you’d rather do with 5 hours than format citations?

Want to learn more?  Bring your lunch to the library on Tuesday, Sept. 22nd. The Tuesday Tech Byte session begins at 11:50 a.m. and will conclude by 12:10 p.m.  See you there!
